About Us

Teena Evert, C.S.I.P., C.Y.T., R.Y.T. 500. The synthesis of Teena's work not only addresses structural issues, but also dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system due to trauma or just daily chronic stress that has a negative impact on not only ones structure but how they function in the world physically, mentally, & spiritually.

Mindful Integration is the phrase used to describe the synergy of working with body, mind, brain, and spirit. Much of Teena's work is rooted in the ancient traditions of yoga and the science of neurobiology, psychophysiology and biomechanics.

Teena is the founder of Mindful Medical yoga and works both individually and with groups offering a combination of treatment modalities such as Structural Integration, Mindfulness practices, Self-Regulation Therapy and Yoga.  Her overall goal is to facilitate the optimal balance between physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. She aims to educate and help people to live a healthy and meaningful life from the inside out.

Teena's professional experience and continued studies in the fields of neurobiology and psychophysiology have allowed her to effectively treat people who suffer from symptoms of trauma and other forms of dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Prenatal & Perinatal Psychology at Santa Barbara Graduate Institute.

Teena learns something new everyday during her patient interactions. However, it has been her personal therapeutic work over the years that has provided her with the means to fully experience balance and optimal health. It is from this experience that she shares her knowledge to help patients help themselves. She is dedicated to using her inner qualities, skills, and experience to continually create new ways to motivate, inspire, and educate each unique individual to aspire toward living life fully.

Teena Evert is also an Intern Therapist for the Community Infant Program (CIP) in Boulder County.

THE COMMUNITY INFANT PROGRAM

The Community Infant Program (CIP) works with high-risk families to promote healthy attachments between parents and infants. Nurses and mental health therapists provide services in the home for parents who experience difficulty in adjusting to a new infant or young child.

These services focus on positive parenting, healthy nutrition and feeding practices, and creating family support systems.

The CIP Program also help families identify any health problems, and guide them to appropriate health care services. Services are provided for a limited number of high-need families with children from birth to three years of age.
